Where's the originality gone?

Alright, here it goes....

So rumors have it that a re-make of the 1984 film "red dawn" is in production. Also an A-Team movie is slated to be out in 2010. They've remade the hulk like 5 times, and remade Friday the 13, they've remade a nightmare on elm street. Where is the creativity!? Hollywood has run out of ideas so they decide to keep re-making things, and butchering them in the process.

My beef with Hollywood in regards to red dawn is that movie is awesome.. WOLVERINES! anyway.. sure it was made with a budget of i think 2 million, might have been 1 million, and you can see the strings that the RPG rockets fly on, but that movie is a classic.. why is Hollywood remaking it. Plus there can't be a red dawn without Patrick Swayze!

There is no originality anymore! 2012 comes out soon.. another apocalypse movie, people are going to flock to see it because they think it'll shed some light for the future. I wanna see it, and I will go see it, I'm not psyched John Cusack is in it. I just wish the writers came up with something better. That's a big reason I like independent films because they are original! Hollywood could learn from the independent film industry.

That's it for tonight

  1. I agree with you Wilson, why do re-makes always feel like a comeback? Hollywood could learn a lot from independent films and they have been listening lately because a lot of A-list actors are making small budget films because this allows them to use their craft!! As for John Cusack, I love him, but 2012 is a weird fit for him, wel'll see, because I know I'm going to see it too! he he...
